If you need to call us on the way, please dial 800-780-7905. Cell phone service is not reliable west of Highway 101. You may be able to get an analog signal near the Navarro Winery near Philo, 45 minutes away, if you're on Highway 128.

From San Francisco International Airport (about 4 hours)

• Go North on Hwy. 101 toward San Francisco. Take the connector, I-380, to I-280 North.
• Continue on I-280 North, which becomes 19th Avenue. Eventually, you'll go through Golden Gate Park and follow signs to the Golden Gate Bridge and Hwy. 101. Then…

From San Francisco at the Golden Gate Bridge (about 3 1/4 hours )

• Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and continue North on Hwy. 101 through Santa Rosa to Hwy. 128 at Cloverdale. As you turn onto Hwy. 128, you are about 1 1/2 hours from Alegria.
• Go West on 128 through winding hill country, the Anderson Valley (stop for wine or apple tasting), and the Navarro Redwoods.
• Hwy. 128 joins Hwy. 1 at the coast. Follow Hwy. 1 North for 10 miles.
• After crossing the bridge over Big River, turn left at the first entrance to Mendocino.
• Alegria is the third property on the left at 44781 Main Street.

Optional scenic coastal route from San Francisco (about 5 hours)

• Cross the Golden Gate Bridge.
• At the Hwy. 1 (Shoreline Highway) exit, head toward the coast. Be prepared for curvy driving!
• Head north on Hwy. 1 to Mendocino. Plenty of spectacular scenery, especially North of Bodega Bay.
• After crossing the bridge over Big River, turn left at the first entrance to Mendocino.
• Alegria is the third property on the left at 44781 Main Street.

Shorter optional scenic coastal route from San Francisco (about 4 hours)

• Cross the Golden Gate Bridge.
• At Hwy. 116 (near Cotati) exit and head Northwest toward the coast on the Gravenstein Highway.
• Hwy. 116 goes through apple and wine country, and along the Russian River, and ends at Jenner on the coast.
• Head North on Hwy. 1 to Mendocino.
• After crossing the bridge over Big River, turn left at the first entrance to Mendocino.
• Alegria is the third property on the left at 44781 Main Street.

From Oakland International Airport (about 3 1/2 hours)

• Follow signs to I-880 North and continue through the interchange, following signs to I-80 East toward Berkeley/Sacramento.
• Near Berkeley, take exit to I-580 West toward San Rafael. Then…

From Oakland and the East Bay (about 3 1/2 hours )

• Cross the Richmond San Rafael Bridge on Hwy. 580.
• Follow signs to Hwy. 101 North at San Rafael.
• Continue North on Hwy. 101 through Santa Rosa to Hwy. 128 at Cloverdale. As you turn onto Hwy. 128, you are about 1 ½ hours from Alegria.

From Central Contra Costa County (3 1/4 hours from Martinez)

• Take I-680 over the Benicia Bridge, then taking I-780 to Vallejo.
• Continue straight, past the marina and the entrance to Mare Island.
• Follow Wilson Street to Hwy. 37 West.
• Continue on Hwy. 37 West to I-101 North.
• Continue North on Hwy. 101 through Santa Rosa to Hwy. 128 at Colverdale. As you turn onto Hwy. 128, you are about 1-1/2 hours from Alegria.
• Go West on 128 through winding hill country, the Anderson Valley (stop for wine or apple tasting), and the Navarro Redwoods
• Hwy. 128 joins Hwy. 1 at the coast. Follow Hwy. 1 North for 10 miles.

From Sacramento via Highways 80, 37 and 101(about 4 hours without stops)

• Take Interstate 80 West to Hwy. 37 near Vallejo
• Go West on 37 to Hwy. 101 North
• Continue North on Hwy. 101 through Santa Rosa to Hwy, 128 at Colverdale. As you turn onto Hwy. 128, you are about 1 ½ hours from Alegria.

Alternate route from Sacramento via Hwy. 20 (about 4 hours )

• Take Interstate 5 North to Williams
• Head West on Hwy. 20 to Hwy. 101 via Nice and Upper Lake
• At Hwy. 101, head North to Willits.
• Take Hwy. 20 West to Fort Bragg.
• Turn South on Hwy. 1 for 9 miles to Mendocino.
• After the stop light at Little Lake Road, take the next right onto Main Street.
• Alegria is the third property on the left at 44781 Main Street.

From Eureka (about 3 1/2 hours )

• Take Hwy. 101 South to Leggett.
• Take Hwy. 1 South to the coast. This part of the drive is very winding, so be prepared!
• Continue South on Hwy. 1 through Westport (tiny) and Fort Bragg to Mendocino.
• After the stop light at Little Lake Road, take the next right onto Main Street.
• Alegria is the third property on the left at 44781 Main Street.

From South Lake Tahoe (290 miles):

• Go West on Hwy. 50 for about 100 miles to I-80 (Sacramento area)
• Take I-80 West to Hwy. 37 near Vallejo
• Go West on 37 to Hwy. 101 North
• Continue North on Hwy. 101 through Santa Rosa to Hwy. 128 at Colverdale.
• Go West on 128 through winding hill country, the Anderson Valley (stop for wine or apple tasting), and the Navarro Redwoods.
• Hwy. 128 joins Hwy. 1 at the coast. Follow Hwy. 1 North for 10 miles.

Flying Here

There is no regularly scheduled air service to Mendocino. Private planes may land at the Mendocino County Airport at Little River, located about 4 miles from Alegria. You can then rent a car or take the Mendocino Stage to Mendocino. Or call us to arrange for a ride. We might be able to pick you up, depending on our schedule.
